Often a wedding is all about the love between two people.
This wedding, while most certainly about the longstanding love between Mark & Martha, was in so many ways about the love that everybody else has for the two of them. So many beautiful words were spoken, so much praise and admiration. A room full of beating hearts.
We were lucky to have the sun shining, and the beautiful spaces within the U of T campus. It was a perfectly seamless day—ideal to kick off the season.
Here’s wishing a million more precious moments to these two very special people. xo

An intimate celebration in the comfort of the bride & groom’s own home. Natalie & Richard have blended their families into an adorable six-some and included their kids in every detail of their wedding day—a choice that lent both sweetness and comedy to the occasion. Warm, robust, family-centric, fun-loving…and an all-round pleasant evening.

My favorite little 1-year-old and the very special people who watch over her, hanging around under the cherry blossoms in High Park. xoxo

As promised, here are the anticipated behind-the-scenes images from our week in the Dominican: some pics by the pool, an action-packed booze cruise, some local shopping, firedancers and a bonfire on the beach.
What more could any party guest possibly want?
Hope you enjoy!

Just a few peeks of our dunk the dress at dusk shoot.
Ocean pinks. black & white palms.
So pretty.

Anita & Nelson graciously invited me to come along with them to lovely Punta Cana for a week of fun & games and lots of lolling about–oh yes and of course, photography!!
There are many many more images to pour over and remind everyone there of their week, but I thought it best to post these ones from the wedding day first.
I can’t get enough of these pinkish skies and the palms blowing in the breeze—gorgeous backdrops for tropical eyes. The maracas were inspired, along with the seashell accents and the party in the sand.
Please feast your eyes and I’ll be back with more to see in a few days.
Hasta Luego!!

An easy breezy autumn shoot.
These lovely people are taking me to the Dominican Republic this January, bless their hearts, to shoot what is sure to be a fun-filled, sunsplashy, seasparkling wedding extravaganza!!
Behold the sweet love. Super-cute.

Okay…how is it that a bride who lives in Philedelphia and a groom who lives in New York City stumble upon a photographer working out of Toronto—who just happens to have grown up in Niagara, where the bride also happens to be from, who went to the same high school as the bride’s cousins (albeit a few years before) and who happens to have attended the same university as both the bride & groom—Waterloo U!!? Can I possibly have this story straight?
In any case, Sara & Justin and I had not had the occasion to meet until their wedding day—but as soon as we made acquaintances, it became clear we were a good match. I love Sara’s no-nonsenseness. There was total clarity around the plan and the details–and then all fun no fuss. Plus she’s a quintessential blonde bombshell with a contagious smile, which never hurts in the photo-taking dept. Dylin was quickly absorbed into the groom’s crowd and later kept the party going at the photobooth until dinner was on the table (photos to come).
I can’t get enough of all the pale, the blond with the long veil and the layers of white ruching in her dress, the white roses and crisp shirts, the champagne dresses and pink champagne shoes. Pearls. Fur. Total cuteness.
Check the grassy pics under cloudy skies. I’m in love with those.
Thanks for finding me S & J—it was wonderful to finally meet you!!
