emily & jonathan

This wedding was an education!! A 20’s era beach party wedding—a little trick in time and place.

These two are the perfect couple to plan a period event like this, Emily with her history in theatre and film, and Jonathan being owner of Kingpin, a men’s vintage clothing shop on Queen St.

These are individuals with vision.

They transformed the little beach in Port Ryerse into a prohibition era Coney Island-esque gathering of bohemian and elites, replete with parasols & popcorn, a 3-peaked midway tent, barbershop singers and circus performers. Check the guys in their bespoke get-ups and the bride in her feathers and chiffon.

The dj played crackling old time rags all day long and Cowbell’s catering staff served up sizzling portions of home cut fries, deep-fried fish and corn on the cob. Perfect fare to soak up the moonshine shoreside.

It was truly a mood-making event. Sunshine. Lake breezes. a little time out in the rowboat.

I say well done newlyweds!!! The summer is now your own. xo.
