These two paired up overseas, and from what I gathered between snaps from the speeches during dinner, they’ve spent a while figuring out how to merge their lives and keep from being apart. You can see why when you’re with them for a few moments too–they are totally wrapped up in each other, massively enamoured, silly in love. It was really enjoyable capturing it.
They are both clearly beloved by their families and have steeped that love in the traditions of their culture–so the atmosphere of their ceremony was one acutely charged with the sacred and profound, filled with alternating laughter and tears, and silent spaces in between in which all could quietly listen to the gentle lapping of Lake Ontario waves. (Ahh, Palais Royale, you set a lovely scene.) It was a truly magical moment.
And, in response I suppose, the party that followed was equally charged with the wild and the crazy, the full-out zaniness of Rachelle and Mark’s many many friends–who clearly love to party. Foot massages for all the bar staff!!!
Okay–I know there are too many photos posted here, but I really had trouble in the picking and choosing, so please bear with me.
Live large Rachelle & Mark–I know you don’t need to be told!
