Linens and lace and fresh lake water. Blond highlights, crystal flowers and pink paisley.
Cherubic cheeks and stoney chimneys.
A sacred promise, a vintage boat cruise and a champagne toast.
Lake of Bays, babes and cake.
There is just so much to this epic day I find myself at a loss to give a synopsis—and why try to sum it up? It was enormous and ambitious and exciting in all it’s many layers—
meticulously designed and yet, at times, magically chaotic.
The thing is, right from the get-go, there was no stopping the party…which, obviously, is perfect for someone like me. So no matter, if the clouds were threatening, or kids crying, the time ticking past schedule, these folks were having a good time. And a good time was clearly had. From the rooms at the scenic Deerhurst Resort to the ever friendly ferryboat at Norway Point, to wonderful Bigwin Island, it’s windy shoreline and soaring interiors. Jennifer is a tiny bright light, a featherweight in her 3 brother’s arms, and an absolute driver of positivity. I swear to God she single-handedly willed the rain out of the weather until everyone was safely inside. Geoff, like his father, is at home on Bigwin; both having been returning since they were children—both consummate hosts, both adoring of their families, their warmed hearts showing clear through to the outside.
These bouquets are just so luscious—and the rosebud meringues, and the cheesecake pops and princess flower girl meltdown..whaaaaat?
What about the little ring boys and their peaky blinders and the completely, ridiculously hot bridal party..?!! So much fertile ground for a wee photographer such as me.
Thank you Jen & Geoff for having me in on this magnificent day of fun and fabulousness.
Many many cheers to you both.
