So, you already saw the adorable chemistry between these two in their engagement photos a few posts ago. Dara is pure spunk and no nonsense, ready to dive into the day and make whatever comes into a fun-loving part of the experience. Chris, spiffed up and steadied by a crew of fabulous guys, accompanied by his twin (two of a set of triplets that includes a sister) is fully engaged (figuratively and literally) in the moment and you can see this in his eyes when they rest upon those of his bride. They’re total heart-breakers. And combined with Dara’s lovely daughter and maid of honour, they really are a whole world of cuteness. They wanted to feature their house in their wedding photos, so they could commemorate the life they’ve lived there up to this point–as their neighbourhood is changing quickly along with the rest of our city. Then they made the short walk to their own church to be married within it’s familiar walls–an intimate ceremony, without pretense or reservation. Then we braved a bit of chill to capture our portraits in some grassy bracken just beyond the reception venue–I love the pre-summer wildness of these grey trees and naked branches, barbed wire and bright tulips. Windblown navy dresses and the comfort of friends. A final stop at some industrial scenery just to mix up the messages and create a little colour contrast in the day. Wishing all the blessings in the world to these two. xo karri
